President
Elise is the proud President and Co-Founder of Sypur Construction, a leading construction firm specializing in commercial construction. With over 20 years of experience in the industry, she has cultivated a reputation for quality, craftsmanship, innovative solutions, and exceptional customer service.
Elise began her career as a civil designer, where she developed a keen eye for aesthetics and functionality. While she enjoyed the design process, she soon realized that her true passion lay in the construction side of the industry. This revelation led her to pivot her career toward General Contracting, where she could see projects come to life from the ground up. Under her leadership, Sypur has completed numerous successful projects, for Federal, Municipal and Private clients. Elise believes in fostering strong relationships with clients and subcontractors alike, ensuring that every project is a collaborative effort that results in a quality end-product.
A graduate of Syracuse University with a degree in Civil Engineering, Elise is committed to continual learning and staying abreast of industry trends and technologies. She is also actively involved in WBENC, Women’s Business Enterprise National Council.
Executive Vice President
Marc is the Co-Founder and Executive Vice President of Sypur Construction. He has nearly 25 years of experience in the construction industry and a reputation of hard work and perseverance. His engineering and construction management background, have led to the successful management of hundreds of millions of dollars in projects. Marc is a Purdue University alumni, graduating with a degree in Construction Engineering and Management. He is a licensed Professional Engineer in Illinois and Indiana and is a LEED Accredited Professional.
His professional portfolio includes a wide range of civil engineering and transportation related projects. Early in his career he had the opportunity to be employed with a major North American civil contractor, working on a variety of bridge and highway construction projects. From there, his career took him to the Chicagoland area where he further expanded his experience in the public and private sectors. This included managing major capital improvement programs as well as managing a growing General Contracting division. Seeing the opportunity to take this experience and knowledge and apply it to the growth of Sypur, Marc joined Elise and has been involved with the field operations and strategic planning of the organization.
